I could not find where to send my entry, so here it is.

When I was born on October of 1950 there were about 2 1/2 billion people on earth and now in the year 2011 there are about seven billion people.   This can make you feel old, when you consider that you are older than over four billion other people.

I was just thinking;  If everybody used about 1 gallon of water a day,  just think about it,  now  thats  seven billion gallons of water.   If you throw in showers, flushing toilets, swimming pools, irrigation of crops, and factory use,   “THAT IS A LOT OF WATER.”

Now consider the amount of water pollution that is going on every day.

It’s kind of scary if you think about it.   If you do any research on the subject then it is no longer kind of scary.  ” IT IS VERRY SCARY!!!!!!!”   I won’t bore you with any of the facts on water pollution,  you can look them up yourself on the net.   CATION!…….  Don’t do this if you’re  faint of heart.
Think about food for a minute.

Just Think about food for a minute.   We all know where food comes from, don’t we?  Of course!!!  The grocery store.   how many people do you know that grow their own food?   I’ll bet it’s not too many.   What if all the shelves were empty?   Something to think about isn’t it?    In an industrialized society you do not control your food.  ” Large corporations take care of you.”

I thought about this for a while,  and then I thought about it some more.   I thought about the things I don’t know how to do.   I don’t know how to make corn flakes.   I don’t know how to make flour if I don’t have the grain.   I don’t know how to make toilet paper.   I don’t have a cow so I guess I have to do without milk.   I don’t think coffee beans grower where I live,   so I guess that’s out.    I’m not a cow,  so I can’t eat grass.

The more I thought about these things,  even though I am older than over 4 billion people,     ” I’m still as dependent as a little baby.”

Now isn’t this something to think about?
This is the reason that I have been trying to get something set up on line. How can I help others if I can’t even help myself?  I’m getting a littel old to be carying shingls up onto a roof.   I would like to have something to leave my family and maybe help some friends.   Thank you for all you have done in the past.   Tom
